Panathinaikos has shown interest in Godoy Cruz winger Santino Andino, an Argentine-Italian youth international. Olympiakos, who had strong interest in the 20-year-old last summer, and clubs from Brazil are also reportedly pursuing the player, as also stated by Eduardo Burgos. A transfer to River Plate was previously considered very close, and the newspaper Olé reported that a deal had been reached for 50% of his rights for approximately $4.5 million. However, that move did not proceed after Andino changed his representation, and his new agents are now understood to be looking for opportunities in Europe or Brazil. Andino has 14 caps and two goals for Argentina's U20 side. He joined Godoy Cruz in July 2024 with his contract running until the end of 2026. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €5.00m. In the summer of 2025, a transfer to Olympiacos was reportedly agreed at €7.5 million for 80% of his rights before collapsing. Recent reports in December 2025 have cited an asking price ranging from €8.5 million to $10 million.
