TYC reports that after the possibility of Santiago Solari moving to Toronto FC of MLS did not materialize, it appears he will continue his career at Newell's.

The Canadian MLS club Toronto submitted a formal offer to Racing for 28-year-old Argentinian winger Santiago Solari, who has recently lost his place in the team. The proposal was for a one-year loan with a $250,000 fee and a $2.5 million purchase obligation, but it was rejected by Racing because the club considered the loan fee insufficient. Although this was the first formal offer for the player, there is optimism that negotiations could resume if Toronto increases its proposed loan fee.
