According to Tuttomercato, Catanzaro has officially announced the permanent signing of Samuel Giovane from Atalanta. Samuel Giovane has signed a three-year contract with Catanzaro. In the previous season, he played on loan at Palermo from Atalanta. The player, who was born in Lugo in 2003, has previously played in Serie B with Ascoli and Carrarese and was the captain of the Italy Under-20 national team.

According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, Catanzaro has identified Samuel Giovane, a 23-year-old Italian midfielder from Atalanta, as a target. Last season, Giovane was on loan at Palermo, where he made 17 appearances and two starts. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.20m. Carrarese has also been linked with the player.
