A reason for his potential departure in the winter transfer window is that Akere did not meet expectations at Widzew Łódź. In 15 Ekstraklasa appearances this season, he has scored one goal and provided one assist. His contract expires on June 30, 2029, and includes an option to extend for another twelve months.
