Samuel Akere has already moved to Widzew Łódź as part of their ongoing transfer activity under the new ownership of Robert Dobrzycki.

Samuel Akere, a 21-year-old Nigerian winger currently playing for Botev Plovdiv, is set to transfer to Widzew Łódź. He is in Poland to undergo medical tests before completing the move. The transfer fee will not exceed 800,000 euros. Tomasz Włodarczyk and Mateusz Borek have reported on the potential transfer. Akere was previously linked with Legia Warsaw and Lech Poznan, and clubs from Belgium also showed interest, but Widzew convinced him to join their project. The club has more financial resources after being taken over by a new owner.

Widzew Łódź has sent an offer to Botev Plovdiv for the Nigerian winger Samuel Akere, as reported by the Polish publication 'Meczyki'. The new owner of the 'red and whites', Robert Dobrzycki, announced that the club's budget for the next transfer window is up to four million euros. Akere, who is currently 21 years old, is valued at one million euros. His current contract expires in a year. During the 2024/2025 season, Akere played 37 official matches for 'the Canaries', scoring seven times and providing six assists.

Standard Liege has sent a new, more enticing offer for the winger Samuel Akere from Botev Plovdiv. Initially, the Belgian club offered 600,000 euros for the 20-year-old player, but later increased it to 800,000 euros, which can be fulfilled with certain bonuses including played matches, starts, goals, and team ranking. Standard Liege has been trying to acquire Akere for three transfer windows, and he was not a regular starter in many matches during autumn.
