Sambou Soumano leaving Lorient?

Africafoot exclusively reported that other clubs were also interested, including FC St. Gallen.

Senegalese forward Sambou Soumano has been monitored by the Cypriot club Qarabag since last summer. Africafoot reports that he could ultimately extend his stay with FC Lorient. This summer, Soumano was close to completing a 3+1 contract with Qarabağ FK, but the transfer did not proceed at the final stage. The Azerbaijani champion team had made an offer of 2.5 million euros plus 500,000 euros in bonuses for the forward.

Swansea City has shown interest in Sambou Soumano, offering a similar package to Blackburn Rovers' rejected offer: €2 million now, with the rest in installments. Their efforts have been rejected.

Widzew Łódź is interested in signing Sambou Soumano. The club is looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming spring round, and Soumano is on their wish list. However, the transfer is considered difficult. Soumano scored fourteen goals in Ligue 2 last season, and with Lorient's promotion to the French top league, it's harder for him to get playing time. Soumano is open to the move, but Lorient needs to give the green light, which might be challenging. Widzew has other candidates in mind as well, not limiting their options to Soumano.

Senegalese forward Sambou Soumano, 24, is linked with a move to Widzew Łódź. According to Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl, the player himself wants to join the Polish club and is pushing for the transfer. However, there is currently no agreement between the clubs. Soumano's contract with FC Lorient runs until June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m.
