According to the Daily Mail, Everton are considering a move for Wolves' England international goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to add to their goalkeeping options. The 33-year-old is being viewed as a potential backup, as Everton's current number two, Mark Travers, has attracted interest from clubs including Wrexham and could leave. Johnstone, who has a contract until 2028 after two seasons with Wolves, could be transferred this summer. Manchester United had previously shown interest in the keeper but are now expected to sign Karl Darlow from Leeds United instead. The potential for a transfer is also influenced by uncertainty over Wolves' other goalkeeper, Jose Sa, who has received interest from Turkish club Besiktas. The keeper has four caps for England and a current market value of €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt. His 2024 transfer from Crystal Palace to Wolverhampton Wanderers was for a fee of €11.9 million.
