According to L'Equipe, an agreement has been reached between Nice and RC Lens for the transfer of Salis Abdul Samed, a 25-year-old Ghanaian international. The transfer fee is reportedly 2 million euros, including bonuses. Despite his contract at RC Lens running until 2028 and his market value being estimated at €5.5m by Transfermarkt, Samed is not part of the plans of the new coach, Pierre Sage. This summer, Samed returned from a loan at Sunderland and was seeking an exit, having been linked with CSKA Moskva and Kayserispor. He has now found an opportunity on the French Riviera, where he is expected to sign a three-year contract and reunite with his former coach, Franck Haise. Nice, who needed a midfielder after missing out on Mahdi Camara to Rennes, considered several options including Batista Mendy from Trabzonspor and Amadou Haidara from RB Leipzig before finalizing the deal with Samed.
