Bolton Wanderers are interested in signing Portuguese-Dutch attacking midfielder Ruben Rodrigues from the Brazilian club Vitoria before the 2 February deadline. The Whites are among the clubs interested in the 29-year-old but face competition from teams in the Championship and the Eredivisie. Rodrigues, who previously played in England with Oxford United, has made four appearances as a substitute in Serie A this season. Bolton manager Steven Schumacher is seeking to strengthen his attacking options. It is believed that Rodrigues is open to moving back to Europe, although it is unclear if he would be willing to join a League One club. His contract with Vitoria is set to expire in June 2027, and he has a market value of €500k, according to Transfermarkt.
