Pisa has finalized the permanent acquisition of Rosen Bozhinov from Royal Antwerp for approximately €5 million. Bozhinov is a 20-year-old Bulgarian international and a center-back who can also operate as a left-back. He will join the Serie A club immediately to strengthen the defense available to coach Alberto Gilardino. Bozhinov has 3 caps for his country. For Antwerp this season, he made 16 appearances and scored 1 goal in the Jupiler Pro League. He joined Antwerp in July 2024 from CSKA 1948 Sofia for a fee reported to be €500,000. Several other Serie A clubs, including Bologna and Atalanta, were also recently linked with the defender. His current market value is €2.5 million, according to Transfermarkt. It was reported earlier in January 2026 that an unnamed club had made a previous offer of around €4 million.
