Ronan Hale Transfer from Ross County to Gillingham
Ronan Hale, who is 27, has reportedly requested to leave Ross County following the club's rejection of a potential £200,000 offer from Gillingham, a League Two side. The Northern Ireland international submitted a transfer request after a third bid from Gillingham was rejected. It is understood that Hale is unhappy and he has communicated to club officials his desire to leave. His absence from a recent match, which was due to illness, has resulted in further speculation. Roy MacGregor, the chairman of Ross County, is believed to want to retain the striker during a relegation battle. In June, the chairman indicated to the Ross-Shire Journal that the club was not in a position where it needed to sell and that any potential buyer would have to make a significant offer. In addition to Gillingham, it is understood that Reading FC maintains an interest in the player. It has also been reported that League One clubs Wigan Athletic and Stevenage, as well as fourth-tier Salford City, have expressed interest. The centre-forward joined Ross County in July 2024 and has a contract until May 2027. This season, he has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 18 Scottish Championship appearances. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €400k.
