Grêmio has decided against signing the 28-year-old Brazilian forward, Róger Guedes, from Al Rayyan. The Qatari team's reluctance to release the player and the high financial demands associated with the deal were key factors in this decision. Negotiations, led by agent Marcelo Marques, revealed that the financial requirements were prohibitive. As a result, Grêmio is now considering other potential signings. Guedes's contract with Al Rayyan runs until June 2027, and his market value is estimated at €9.00m by Transfermarkt. Besides Grêmio, other Brazilian clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, and Flamengo have also been linked with Guedes recently.
