Santos is in advanced negotiations to sign Brazilian right-back Rodinei from Olympiacos. The former Flamengo player has a verbal agreement with Santos concerning his salary and a contract lasting until the end of 2027. The Brazilian club is now waiting for the 34-year-old to be released by the Greek team to complete the signing. Olympiacos authorized Rodinei's agent to seek a new club because the team did not qualify for the Champions League and because the player's salary is considered elevated for their squad. The defender joined the Greek side in January 2023 and has a contract that expires in June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €800k. Grêmio has also been associated with the player.
