Negotiations between Zenit and Vasco da Gama for the transfer of central defender Robert Renan are ongoing. Vasco da Gama is interested in a loan deal, while Zenit prefers a permanent transfer. Vasco da Gama's sports director has traveled to Saint Petersburg to resolve the issue. Negotiations were confirmed by Zenit chairman Alexander Medvedev.

The Brazilian club Vasco da Gama has expressed interest in Zenit's 21-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan. Globo reported that the Brazilians approached the blue-white-sky-blue player following unsuccessful negotiations with Galatasaray's defender Carlos Cuesta, who decided to join Spartak Moscow instead. Renan is considered an alternative option for the Brazilian team to bolster the center of their defense after Cuesta chose the Russian club over Vasco. Spartak reportedly offered terms comparable to the Turkish club's proposal and a better salary package to Cuesta. Renan's contract with the Russian club is valid until June 2028, and he has also been associated with Beşiktaş. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €7.50 million.
