Riquelme Felipe: Fluminense Contract Extension
Fluminense is reportedly in the final stages of renewing the contract with Riquelme Felipe, an 18-year-old Brazilian winger who is considered one of the standouts of the 'Esquadrilha 07'. Following a new series of meetings, the club and the player's representatives have reached an agreement, with the signing anticipated to occur by the end of this week. The existing contract, renewed in 2023, remains valid until 2028. However, since Riquelme Felipe turned 18, another renewal was deemed necessary. He made his debut with the main team this year and secured a starting position in several matches until he sustained a grade 2 sprain in the medial collateral ligament of his left knee in March. This injury caused him to lose his place in the team, and he has been sparingly utilized by coach Renato Gaúcho since then. His most recent appearance was on August 2nd against Grêmio. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €6.00m, and he has been associated with a potential move to FC Barcelona.
