Reece Welch, a 22-year-old English and Jamaican defender who was pursued by Plymouth Argyle, is now a free agent after being released by Everton. According to sources close to Football Lowdown, Sheffield Wednesday are expected to renew their interest in the defender. While a number of other League One clubs are also interested, a move to Bundesliga side SC Freiburg is believed to be the player's preferred option.
