Pedrinho stated that Vasco received and refused a recent offer from Zenit for Rayan, and described the proposal as being very large. He said that convincing Rayan to stay was possible for this initial period. Pedrinho also mentioned that there is almost daily interest in Rayan from abroad and that there are ongoing conversations with the player's agents and family to keep him at Vasco.

Zenit has advanced the most in negotiations for Rayan, according to ESPN BR. However, Rayan did not show interest in playing in Russian football and would prioritize a move to a more prominent league if he were to leave Vasco.

According to Globo.com, Vasco rejected an offer of R$ 200 million for Rayan and asked Zenit for approximately R$ 327 million for the player.
