According to Sudpresse, Rayan Touzghar is close to joining Standard as all parties have reportedly reached an agreement regarding his transfer. Touzghar is expected to undergo his medical tests on Thursday, after which a contract for three seasons with an option will be ready. Sacha Tavolieri adds that Standard would pay slightly less than 1 million euros to sign Touzghar from the French second division club Pau, which would also be entitled to a percentage of any future resale. Tavolieri also reports an agreement with the Ligue 2 club for a fee around €1M and a resale percentage, with a medical visit scheduled for Thursday.

Standard Liège is interested in signing 22-year-old French and Moroccan midfielder Rayan Touzghar, a former Moroccan youth international who joined Pau FC in August 2025. Last season with Pau in Ligue 2, he registered three goals and three assists across 33 matches. It is reported that Standard has made initial contact with the player and his entourage to explore the possibility of a transfer, but no formal offer has been submitted to Pau. Touzghar is in the final year of his contract. Transfermarkt values him at €1.8 million, and it is reported that the player would prefer to stay in France.
