Raul Asencio rejected a transfer to join the City Football Group, who offered Real Madrid €6m (£5m) to secure his signature before his senior debut. The City Football Group planned to place him with La Liga rivals Girona, but Asencio chose to stay at Real Madrid to establish himself in the first team.
