On Monday (15), Bahia finalized the commercial terms for the transfer of forward Rafael Ratão to Shanghai Shenhua of China. Ratão had been on loan at Japan's Cerezo Osaka. This transfer completes a financial arrangement for the Salvador-based club, as the combined total of the loan fee from Cerezo Osaka and the sale price to the Chinese team equals the approximately 2 million euros Bahia invested when they signed the player in July 2023 for a three-season contract. At the start of 2025, Bahia had loaned Ratão to the Japanese club for one season with an option to buy. This loan initiated the financial arrangement that is now completed by his permanent sale.
