Al Hilal contacted Pietro Comuzzo's entourage after the end of the Serie A season. The talks ended before starting as Comuzzo decided not to consider the proposal for personal reasons, regardless of the financial terms. Fiorentina was informed but never received an official offer. Comuzzo recently renewed his contract with Fiorentina until 2029 with an option for 2030.
