Pierre Ekwah Transfer from Sunderland to Saint-Étienne

AS Saint-Etienne has officially confirmed the activation of the purchase option for Pierre Ekwah from Sunderland. The option was included in the initial loan agreement. Ekwah, a 23-year-old midfielder, is now officially part of AS Saint-Etienne's squad under coach Eirik Horneland. Despite this, Ekwah's future remains uncertain as he does not wish to play in Ligue 2 and has not yet returned to training with ASSE.

Pierre Ekwah has signed a 4-year contract with Saint-Étienne after being on loan from Sunderland last year. He made 30 appearances for the club last season. The transfer fee was 6 million euros.

Pierre Ekwah was on loan from Sunderland to Saint-Étienne since the beginning of the season. He was one of the standout players for ASSE, despite the club's challenging season ending in relegation to Ligue 2. Saint-Étienne decided to exercise the purchase option for the young midfielder, which was valued at six million euros.
