Pierce Charles Transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to Strasbourg
RC Strasbourg made a bid for Pierce Charles before an injury sidelined him for an extended spell.
The French club RC Strasbourg has made a bid to sign Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday this month, although the value of the bid and whether it will be accepted are not yet known.
The young Northern Irish goalkeeper, Pierce Charles, who is 20 years old, is reportedly in advanced negotiations for a transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to Strasbourg. Reports from the Telegraph confirm that these negotiations are underway, despite Charles being under contract with Sheffield Wednesday until 2027. The English second division club, currently facing significant financial difficulties, has previously turned down offers from Glasgow Rangers and West Ham. However, they may be inclined to accept Strasbourg's more attractive proposal. Charles, who has earned eight caps as a starter for the Northern Ireland national team and plays regularly for his club, is anticipated to remain on loan at Sheffield Wednesday for another year before making the move to Strasbourg. His market value is estimated to be around €300,000 according to Transfermarkt.
