Ipswich Town has made an inquiry for Birmingham City's 29-year-old defender, Phil Neumann. Neumann could potentially leave Birmingham City after one year. Other English clubs are interested in the German player, with Premier League newcomers Hull City reportedly considering him. The detail about Hull City's interest was first mentioned by transfer expert Rudy Galetti and is confirmed by BILD. During the season, Espanyol Barcelona had also previously signaled their interest in Neumann. Neumann has 10 caps for Germany's U20 team. He joined Birmingham in July 2025 on a free transfer from Hannover 96 and has a contract until 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.50m.
