Petko Hristov, the 26-year-old Bulgarian defender and captain of Spezia, is the subject of interest from Spain, with Levante having targeted the player. Another club from the top Iberian league, Alavés, has also shown interest. Although Hristov has expressed his concentration on Spezia, it is reported that a move to Spain is a destination he would not be opposed to. The defender has 21 caps for Bulgaria, a contract with Spezia until June 2028, and has made 13 appearances in Serie B this season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m.
