Serie A club Bologna has shown interest in 20-year-old Bulgarian central midfielder Petko Panayotov. A scout from the Italian side attended the CSKA match against Slavia at the Vasil Levski national stadium, where the scout was originally present to watch another player, Kristiyan Balov. The scout was reportedly impressed by the performance of Panayotov and his teammate Teodor Ivanov. It is expected that Bologna will send representatives to observe the young CSKA players again before the end of the season. In the 2025/2026 season, Panayotov has made 18 appearances in the efbet Liga, during which he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists.
