Globo.com reports that negotiations occurred between Corinthians and Botafogo for a potential loan swap involving 29-year-old Brazilian centre-forward Pedro Raul and Arthur Cabral. The talks stalled due to financial issues, leading Corinthians to end the discussions. In addition to the interest from the Rio de Janeiro club, president Osmar Stabile stated earlier in the week that Pedro Raul had also received inquiries from Remo and Vitória. Corinthians decided on Friday to keep the player and finalize its squad for the Conmebol Libertadores, halting all ongoing transfer negotiations. Pedro Raul joined Corinthians in February 2024 for a reported fee of €4.5m and has a contract until the end of 2028. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 12 appearances across Série A and the Campeonato Paulista, with one assist and no goals. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.00m.
