Paulo Díaz leaving River Plate?
Marcelo Gallardo stated that Paulo Díaz had possibilities to leave. The coach said that the offers that arrived were not sufficient to let the player go, as he is considered an important player, and that there was a lack of a convincing offer for Díaz.
TYC reports that Paulo Díaz is seeking a new club despite having two years left on his contract.
According to an investigation by ESPN, coach Marcelo Gallardo has made a release list for the next year with at least 11 names, and Paulo Díaz is on that list.
A 31-year-old Chilean centre-back was once again left out of the squad. He is under contract until the end of 2027, so his departure will depend on a sale. The defender joined River Plate in August 2019 and has been capped 56 times by his country. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
