Pogoń Szczecin was pursuing the transfer of Patrik Hellebrand from Górnik Zabrze. Łukasz Olkowicz stated on Kanał Sportowy that the 26-year-old received a very enticing contract proposal from the league rival, adding that Pogoń Szczecin offered him a 'contract of a lifetime'.

Pogoń Szczecin was seriously interested in Patrik Hellebrand at the end of the transfer window and reportedly offered two million euros for him, but this did not convince the Górnik Zabrze officials. There were reports that Hellebrand might have been interested in joining Pogoń. After the transfer window, Hellebrand stated that for him, the most important thing is Górnik Zabrze. He added that the club decided for him, and he is happy to be at home and to continue there.
