Patrick de Paula Transfer from Botafogo to Remo

Patrick de Paula has returned to Brazil to join Remo after Estoril terminated the loan with Botafogo early. The Rio de Janeiro club negotiated directly with Remo, which signed him in a two-stage deal. Patrick de Paula joins Remo in a new one-year loan agreement, with his salary being split equally between Botafogo and Remo. The latter club will assume the full transfer from January 2027.

According to Globo.com, Botafogo has terminated the loan of midfielder Patrick de Paula with Estoril of Portugal and is arranging a new loan to Remo for the 26-year-old. The player was the first major signing of Botafogo's SAF era after arriving from Palmeiras in 2022 for 6 million euros, and his salary will initially be shared equally between the two clubs. His time at Botafogo involved injuries, a lack of consistent playing time, and also included a loan spell at Criciúma. The new deal with Remo is in an advanced stage but is not yet signed, and it will give the Pará club the right to acquire the player permanently at the end of 2026, which is when his contract with Botafogo expires. It is expected that Patrick de Paula will arrive in Brazil in the coming days.
