Tuttomercato reports that S.S. Lazio has officially announced the permanent transfer of Patricio Gabarron Gil to Al-Ittifaq, a club from the United Arab Emirates.

Corriere dello Sport reported that Patric has left Lazio and become a player for Al-Ittifaq, a club in the Serie B of the United Arab Emirates coached by Paolo Montero. The transfer was finalised at the last moment, as the deal was close to collapsing during the contract signing and translation phase, probably due to a transcription error regarding some agreement conditions. As the Emirati transfer window was closing, the parties reached a definitive solution. Lazio will not receive any fee from the transfer but will save on his salary, which was around 3 million euros gross per season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Patric is close to leaving Lazio amid ongoing discussions for a move to Al-Ittifaq, a club based in Dubai that competes in the UAE First Division. Lazio and the player are considering a mutual termination of his contract, which would involve no compensation for the club. Discussions are taking place on the terms of the exit and financial details, and closure agreements with the player still need to be defined. Patric has a basic agreement with Al-Ittifaq, and the deal needs to be completed by Monday.

Patric might leave Lazio after 10 years at the club. Due to his ongoing injury issues and Lazio's intention to rejuvenate their defensive lineup, he is considered a candidate for departure from the club.
