Pape Diop Transfer from Strasbourg to Toulouse

Both Strasbourg and Toulouse indicated on Wednesday that Pape Demba Diop was recalled by Strasbourg from his loan at Nuremberg and is now loaned to Toulouse until the end of the season without a purchase option. Toulouse Football Club announced on January 7, 2026, that Pape Demba Diop joins them on loan from Racing Club de Strasbourg. He was the top scorer of the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations and played in ten Bundesliga matches this season.

Senegalese midfielder Pape Demba Diop, aged 22, has been loaned to Toulouse for six months without a purchase option. Strasbourg, who bought the player from Zulte-Waregem last summer for a fee that was reported to be €5.0 million, unexpectedly recalled him from a loan at Nuremberg, where he had played 10 matches in the German second division during the first half of the season without scoring a goal or providing an assist. Diop, whose contract with Strasbourg runs until June 2030, has not yet made an appearance for the club.
