Othmane Maamma Transfer from Watford to Manchester United
Manchester United were at Vicarage Road on Thursday to watch Watford winger Othmane Maamma, a 20-year-old Moroccan-French player. Liverpool and Newcastle United were also present. Nearly a dozen clubs, including Brighton, Brentford, and Sunderland who have previously watched him, were in attendance for the 3-0 win against Birmingham. This was not the first time Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle have observed the player. Watford signed Maamma from Montpellier for less than £1 million in the summer. While not planning a January sale, it is reported that the club would find it difficult to reject a significant profit on him. The winger, who has 28 caps and 5 goals for Morocco's U20 team, has a contract with Watford until June 2029 and has scored 3 goals in 12 Championship appearances this season. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €1.30m.
