Othmane Maamma Transfer from Watford to Brentford
Brentford, Brighton, and Sunderland are among several clubs that have been watching Watford's Moroccan winger, Othmane Maamma. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United also scouted the 20-year-old during a match against Birmingham, and it was not the first time they had observed him. Interest from clubs across Europe in Maamma increased after he won the Golden Ball at the Under-20 World Cup. Watford signed the player from Montpellier in the summer for under £1 million. The club does not plan a January sale but may find it difficult to reject an offer that represents a significant profit. The Moroccan U20 international has 28 caps and 5 goals. He is under contract until 2029 and has 3 goals and 1 assist in 12 Championship appearances this season. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.30m.
