The deal for Oso to join Olympiacos from Sevilla has failed due to a lack of agreement between the two clubs. According to Extra Time Fútbol, the option for Oso has collapsed.

Information from Spain reported on a possible agreement between Olympiacos and Sevilla for the acquisition of Oso. On Friday (17/7), Olympiacos submitted a significant purchase offer for the 23-year-old left back, but the offer was not what Sevilla wanted and the Spanish club did not agree to the deal. It was indicated that an agreement would be possible with a slightly higher offer or a small discount from Sevilla. However, Olympiacos' coach, Medilibar, indicated to the club's management that he does not consider the Sevilla player the correct solution. For this reason, it is unlikely that Olympiacos will make another offer for Oso unless Ortega or Bruno leaves the team. Olympiacos had believed Medilibar would approve of having Oso, but he was not among the coach's favored options.

According to Marca, contacts between Sevilla and Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest, have intensified for the transfer of Oso.

The Marinakis group is planning to increase their bid to help Olympiacos sign Oso from Sevilla. According to Spanish journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, the group are planning to raise the offer for the player. It has been suggested that The Marinakis Group have made a €6.5m offer for Oso to join Olympiacos. Sevilla are demanding €10m plus add-ons for the 23-year-old, whose contract runs for one more year.
