Union SG is making a strong effort to sign Ondrej Kricfalusi, a 22-year-old Czech central defender from Banik Ostrava. The Brussels-based club is set to pay a €5 million fee, which was the buyout clause stipulated in his contract. In pursuing the defender, Union SG reportedly surpassed the interest of Italian top-flight club Monza. While there is not yet an agreement between the cup winner and the player, it is expected that one will be reached. Kricfalusi, who joined Banik Ostrava in September 2025, has a contract that runs until June 2029. In the 2025/2026 season, he scored 5 goals in 24 Chance Liga appearances and has 17 caps for the Czechia U21 team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €3.50m.
