An agreement has been reached between FC Universitatea Cluj and FC Rapid 1923 for the season-long loan of Omar El Sawy, a 21-year-old right winger, with the transfer finalized on the last day of the window. Before this move, the player had participated in two matches for Rapid at the beginning of the current season. This follows a prior loan stint at Sepsi OSK, where he established himself as a key player, appearing in 24 games across the Superligă and Cupa României, netting six goals and providing two assists. As reported by News.ro, El Sawy also has extensive experience representing Romania at the youth international level, including for the U17, U18, U19, and U20 squads. The Romanian-Egyptian player holds a contract with FC Rapid 1923 that is effective until June 2028, and Transfermarkt estimates his value at €550,000.
