Israeli-German midfielder Ofri Arad is expected to leave FCSB in the summer, having joined the club in the winter. The 27-year-old midfielder failed to impress owner Gigi Becali in the four matches he played. Becali has criticized Arad's performances and feels the player is too slow defensively and lacks game speed. A contributing factor to his likely departure is Arad's status as one of the best-paid players at FCSB, with a monthly salary of €20,000. A return to Israel is being discussed. The publication sport1.maariv.co.il reports that Maccabi Haifa is the favorite to sign him. Arad previously won three titles with that club. Arad, who has 10 caps for Israel, has a contract with FCSB until June 2028 and a market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
