Popescu is not on Korona Kielce's list, and no discussions have occurred between the club's representatives and the player's agent regarding a move. Popescu has been with FCSB since September 2020 and his contract runs until June 2026. He is valued by Transfermarkt at €600k. He has 7 caps for the Romanian national team.
