Besiktas also attempted to sign the player, but signed Ouattara from Monaco for the same position after learning they did not have Tavares's full approval. Porto is also pursuing the player. Manager Farioli has given his technical approval for a transfer from Lazio for a fee of 20 million, and the deal now requires the definitive consent of president Villas Boas.
