FC Midtjylland was close to buying 28-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Nordin Bakker. Bakker was subsequently seen at the Danish club's training ground on Wednesday, and the publication Bold was present at the facility. The transfer is due to Midtjylland's need for a new goalkeeper after Jonas Lössl retired this summer. Bakker had one year remaining on his contract at Heerenveen, which he joined from Almere City the previous summer, and made only two appearances last season. His current market value is €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
