Slovan Bratislava received an offer from FC Copenhagen for winger Nino Marcelli on the last day of the previous transfer window. The offer was for a loan with an option to buy for approximately 9 million euros. Slovan Bratislava rejected the offer. Ivan Kmotrík stated that the reason for the rejection was not only financial but also the timing. He stated that an offer arriving on the last day of the transfer window is not the correct procedure. Kmotrík also mentioned that Marcelli might leave for 9 million in the winter and that they discussed values of 9, 10, or 12 million. He added that Yaya Touré said Marcelli is worth 15 million.

Bold reported that FC København tried to sign Nino Marcelli from Slovan Bratislava shortly before the transfer window closed. The transfer was not completed because it was not registered in time. According to Tipsbladet, the clubs had almost reached an agreement on a loan deal for the 21-year-old winger with a purchase option of approximately 9 million euro.

FC København was in dialogue with Slovan Bratislava's Nino Marcelli during the final hours of the transfer deadline. The club had been attempting to strengthen its left wing, which is the primary position of the 21-year-old Slovakian player. Marcelli, a product of Slovan Bratislava's own youth academy, is under contract until June 2028 and has established himself as a significant offensive profile for the team. He has 24 caps and 8 goals for the Slovakia U21 national team, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €6.50m.
