Nikola Vasilj announced live on TV after the match against VfL Wolfsburg that it was his last game for St. Pauli. Vasilj stated on Sky that it was his last game for the club, that it was hard for him to say that, and that in football such situations sometimes happen and one has to move on. It had been clarified before the final relegation match that Vasilj would only have had a valid contract at St. Pauli if the club had remained in the league. The goalkeeper can now leave the club on a free transfer.
