Germanijak first reported at the end of July this year that an informal agreement on a new contract was reached.

HNK Rijeka midfielder Niko Janković has extended his contract with the club until June 2029. Janković's previous contract was set to expire at the end of this season, and the new agreement extends his commitment to the club by an additional three years.

Niko Jankovic, a 24-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder for Rijeka, is entering the final year of his contract. According to Novi List, he is expected to sign a new contract with the current champions for another three years. Jankovic joined the club in July 2023 and has been capped once for the Croatia U21 team. His current market value is €6.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Several clubs, including Anderlecht and Fenerbahçe, have recently been linked with the player.
