Niklas Süle: Borussia Dortmund Contract Extension
The management at Dortmund has given its professionals a probation period until March, according to BILD. There are no plans to extend any contracts before then, as the club is not under pressure and the management also wants to motivate the players to perform at the highest level. Players who do not perform by March will not get a new contract.
According to Bild, Niklas Süle is among six players at Borussia Dortmund whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the current season. The club had previously set a strict policy that none of these six players would be offered an early contract extension. It is now reported that one player is forcing the club management to reconsider, provided a certain agreed condition continues to be met.
Niklas Süle, currently earning 14 million euros annually at BVB, has decided to fulfill his contract with Borussia Dortmund, which runs until 2026. He feels very comfortable at the club under Niko Kovac. However, it has been decided that he will not receive a follow-up contract after 2026.
Borussia Dortmund is considering extending Niklas Süle's contract, which is currently valid until 2026. The club is impressed by his recent performances and is contemplating a performance-based contract with significantly reduced salary terms. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 8.00 million euros.
