Although Belgian Challenger Pro League club FCV Dender was mentioned as a potential destination for Nick Shinton, the 25-year-old Belgian goalkeeper is set to move to a club outside of Belgium after leaving Beerschot as a free agent. According to Tipsbladet, Shinton is close to signing for Danish club Sønderjyske, where a three-year contract is reportedly ready for him. The goalkeeper is reportedly travelling to Denmark to undergo his medical tests. In addition to Dender, other clubs from Denmark and the English Championship were also reportedly monitoring the player. Shinton has been capped by Belgium at U21 level, and his current market value is €800k, according to Transfermarkt.
