According to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, Watford have rejected a bid of approximately £10m (€11.7) from Celta Vigo for Nestory Irankunda as the offer was significantly below the English club’s valuation. After a renegotiation between the clubs, Watford repurchased 10% of Bayern’s sell-on clause, which has now been reduced from 50% to 40%. It is also reported that Bayern’s buy-back clause has expired.

According to Sky Sports, Celta Vigo made an offer for Nestory Irankunda for a fee around £10m. Watford rejected the bid because it was less than the Championship side’s valuation. The deal to sign him from Bayern last summer included a 50% sell-on clause and a buy-back clause.

Watford rejected two separate bids of around £10m from Celta Vigo and Sporting CP for 20-year-old winger Nestory Irankunda. It is understood that the offers for the Australia international were well below Watford's valuation, and neither club has returned with a new proposal since being rejected. Irankunda joined Watford in July 2025 and his contract is valid until 2030. He has 19 caps for Australia, having scored 6 goals. In 40 Championship appearances last season, he scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists. His current market value is €8.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
