Neil El Aynaoui Transfer from Roma to Brighton & Hove Albion

2h ago

TEAMtalk has revealed that intermediaries have spoken with Brighton, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and other English clubs about the availability of Moroccan and French Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui. It has been reported that the 25-year-old's limited starting opportunities since his move from Lens last summer have encouraged clubs to believe they can offer him a more significant role. Those representing the player believe a transfer this summer is a possibility if Roma receive a suitable proposal. It remains unclear if Roma will sell, as the club still views El Aynaoui as a player with high potential, but it is expected that growing interest will test their intention to keep him. Everton are also monitoring the situation, aided by their shared ownership with the Italian club. According to sources, the midfielder's form had previously led to enquiries from both Barcelona and Real Madrid earlier in the year. Former Marseille sporting director Mehdi Benatia also told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he had previously tried to sign El Aynaoui for Marseille but the player was too expensive, and Benatia questioned why he had not featured more prominently at Roma. El Aynaoui joined the club in July 2025 and his contract runs until 2030.
