Nathan Silva Transfer from Pumas UNAM to Vasco da Gama

Récord reported that Nathan Silva had decided to stay at Pumas despite interest from Vasco Da Gama. Nathan Silva would not be transferred to Vasco Da Gama and would remain at Pumas for at least the rest of Apertura 2025. Despite an offer of nearly six million dollars from the Brazilian club for the central defender, Club Universidad Nacional did not accept the financial proposal and would retain one of its most valuable assets in the defensive zone. Nathan considered returning to the Brasileirao a good possibility but was also content with staying. Club Universidad Nacional was open to negotiations, but the involved parties could not reach an agreement, so Silva would stay in Mexican football for the remainder of the tournament.

According to Récord, negotiations are ongoing for the transfer of Nathan Silva involving Pumas, Vasco da Gama, and Atlético Mineiro. Vasco da Gama has proposed a 5 million USD offer for Nathan Silva. Pumas, in response, has made a counteroffer suggesting that Atlético Mineiro, who holds 20% of Nathan Silva's rights, transfer half of their share to Pumas. This arrangement would enable Pumas to sell 80% of Nathan Silva's rights to Vasco da Gama, thereby increasing their revenue to nearly 5.7 million USD. Pumas has also insisted on receiving a significant upfront payment, constituting almost two-thirds of the deal's total value, with the remaining amount to be paid in smaller installments. However, Atlético Mineiro has declined the request to relinquish their share, thereby complicating the transfer process. Additionally, Vasco da Gama has an outstanding debt of around 2 million USD to Atlético Mineiro for previous transfers involving Paulo Henrique and Jair.

Vasco is negotiating with Pumas and is optimistic about signing Nathan Silva. The offer is approximately 4 million euros. Discussions have been progressing in recent days. Nathan Silva, a Brazilian defender aged 28, is a key player for the Mexican team. Fernando Diniz has approved the player's signing.

Vasco is making efforts to acquire Nathan Silva, who currently plays a crucial role at Pumas in Mexico, with his contract valid until June 30, 2027. The club is looking to hasten negotiations to finalize a permanent transfer for the 28-year-old Brazilian defender, whose market value is estimated at €5.00m by Transfermarkt. Fernando Diniz has given his approval for Silva's acquisition, and the defender has also attracted interest from other teams. Nathan Silva, who began his career at Atlético-MG, was a champion in both the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil in 2021 with the Minas Gerais club. The defender was transferred for 4 million dollars, approximately 20 million reais, in mid-2023.
