English winger Nathan Redmond, aged 32, is on trial with Charlton Athletic with the aim of continuing his career at Championship level after being released by Blackburn Rovers, where he made two appearances on a short-term deal. Before his time at Blackburn, Redmond played seven games for Sheffield Wednesday following his departure from Burnley in June 2025. Redmond played for Charlton Athletic in a 1-0 pre-season win over Dartford. Manager Nathan Jones, who previously worked with the player at Southampton, confirmed that Redmond will travel with the squad to Slovenia. Speaking to South London Sport, Jones commended Redmond's excellent attitude and sharp performance, describing him as a wonderful player and an outstanding professional, adding that the important factor would be if the club could benefit from his involvement. Redmond has one cap for England and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €600k.
